FINALLY GRADUATE!!!!!

              FINALLY GRADUATE!!!!!

Graduating was not ‘HALWAA’. PEOPLE consider b.com degree as just ordinary one. Believe me; it takes lot many things to be a b.com graduate. Especially, when your university keeps experimenting with you.
It happened with me and my fellow batch mates too. The year when we reached graduation year, university changed its rule. Boohoo……..yes, unexpected change….left us to suffer.
Instead of 100 marks paper, we got something called 60/40 system. Totally unaware, many of us were in trauma as the college started. Several seminars were held by college and university to guide students as well as professors (none of the students attended those lectures). Most of the coaching classes backed out saying they are blank about what to teach the students.
Nobody cares what students must be going through. Seriously, it was a chaos. Students kept assuming paper pattern till the end of the board exams. Frankly speaking, it takes a lot of guts to assume something like ‘paper pattern’. Moreover, some of them even forwarded those in SMS.
Well, regarding 60/40..it goes like this….
60 marks external i.e. on your own ability and what and how much cans you copy from your neighbor. 40 marks are for internal. i.e., about how hard you control your sleep during lectures and how ‘WELL’ you behave in front of your professors (no matter how badly you bitch about them after college). You should pursue the skill to remain in good books of your professors, as they going to allot you internal marks. Earning 40 marks was not cheap deal, infact it went into a costly affair. College demanded (actually university) two projects and from that they will select best among them.

Wtf….cant they ask for only one project and allot GOOD marks. Greedy people, waste of time, money as well as our energy.

Headache was doing projects twice knowing the fact that you’ll be allotted marks for only one of them. Why make two?? Doing project would have been worst if INTERNET would have been banned.
THANK YOU MR.GOOGLE, YOU HELP TO THE CORE.
Submission was the headace...not headace, it is actually migrane. Submitting projects exactly on the due date was next to impossible for majority students. Moreover, when you get to know that your project is just the ‘carbon copy’ of your friend. You become restless until the project is submitted. Several questions do round your head, what if mam caught us?? My internals will be gone...mom will throw me out that is different thing altogether plus insult and embarrassment. Wow!!!!! You are not afraid of the punishment instead you are afraid of doing it again form the start. Once the submission is done, here come your internal exams. Syllabus unknown to half of the class till the exam. Many depend upon their friends or the person sitting next to his/her during exam. Believe me, during exam time even your enemy will ask for help.
internal exams were too much of fun….even the scholar students( scothcy)  were in liberty to copy…god spare those weak ones with easy questions.
Scoring in internal was big question mark. All of us were sure of scoring very less marks in internals. Majority among us were doing articleship for C.S/C.A/C.W.A…and those were the initial targets. Poor kids......
Wherever you go. You get one discussion in common regarding 60/40 pattern. Students were highly frustrated; some of them even cancelled their admission from college and applied directly from university, just to get rid of 60/40 pattern. Smart and lucky they were.
Some of us were happy as now portion is less?
Admit cards (hall tickets) were the issue. Only a couple of days were remaining and we were asked to collect admit cards from college. Scene was still under control only till the day of 1st exam... it was everywhere in the newspaper, newschannels and sms were doing rounds of CENTER CHANGE at the end moment.
Here, we cannot remember what we have studied a day before and now expect us to go mad on them. What was the need to change the centers at such a short notice? Pathetic situation it was. I could see some even crying.
Exams started and ‘LEAKED’ too. Some even got SMS quoting important questions (in reality it was the same paper). As it is, we were getting messages regarding paper pattern, important questions since the beginning of the year. Many of us ignored SMS, thinking its sham.
But it wasn’t…students who followed the SMS, were happy after the exam and some were unhappy.
No one wanted RE-EXAM….next day, SMS started doing rounds for the remaining papers also. Many believed and followed but paper turned out to be exactly opposite. It was everywhere in the newspapers, television, internet. Re exam was announced. Students were in shock. Those who could not give 100% in the previous exam were happy as they got a chance to prove their ability but for the ones, who have followed the SMS, were tensed. Rumors spread everywhere, that all papers will be conducted again. How can someone print such bogus news???  Please care about the mental and emotional state of a student. They were already in shock; such news could get them in COMA.
Finally, one fine day (i.e. the exact date which was announced lately by university for results) results came out. Students were skeptic about how this new pattern would fetch them good marks.
All in all, results came out to be good...many...almost everyone had worked really hard for the last 1 month of the exam...nt actually month. Only 15days…but real hard work was when they attended lectures by sacrificing their sleep, taking out printouts for self as well as friends (friends become important for all), sitting whole day and night to study for internals. All this paid off.
But unfortunately for some students, it did not turned out to be a fortune. Their expectation was ruined by university. For those who never imagined of crossing 1st class…got distinction…
FINALLY, from getting teased by our seniors as undergrads….well, Now we are PROUD GRADUATES and we will continue to crack undergrads pjs…
ALL THE BEST TO ALL MY FINALLY GRADUATE BUDDIES!!!!!!!
